Dear Parents,
It is an honor and a privilege to return to Holy Cross School as your principal.
For those of you who don't know me, I previously taught at Holy Cross from 1992-1993 and again from 2000-2005. I have
been married for 20 years to a wonderful man named Greg, and we have three children. Jacob and Trevor will be in the
8th grade this year at Holy Cross. Steven graduated from Holy Cross in 2005, and he will be a junior at Mount Michael
Benedictine High School. As you can see, my husband and I are committed to Catholic education. We feel that our
children have truly benefited from the strong academics, nurturing environment and faith formation that are the foundation
of a Catholic education.
As a former teacher at Holy Cross, I loved the high academic standards,
small class sizes, well-disciplined students, strong parental support, and caring faculty. These qualities are still
evident today. We continue to set high expectations for all students and provide opportunities for
them to grow cognitively, socially and spiritually.
We have small class sizes to accommodate for the developmental needs of
all learners. This also gives teachers an opportunity to get to know the students on a personal level.
The Discipline With Purpose program has been a part of the curriculum at
Holy Cross School for 16 years. The program focuses on 15 self-discipline skills and provides students an opportunity
to learn from their mistakes.
Strong parental support is the driving force behind our school. Holy
Cross School would not exist without this support and the generous support of the parish. It is in working together
that we are able to provide a quality education for all students.
The faculty and staff are an amazing group of dedicated men and women who
strive to make learning fun, yet challenging. They are constantly working to better themselves professionally and improve
curriculum. They model Christ's teachings and instill in the children a love of learning and service to others.
Holy Cross School has a great deal to offer any child, Catholic or
non-Catholic. We are committed to providing students with the tools necessary to further their education and be productive
citizens.
This is an exciting time at Holy Cross School, and I look forward
to sharing it with the students and all of you.
